No way, wear as light of clothing as possible. Your "friends" would never think of shooting you there.

It wouldn't hurt to wear a cup. I also wear a neck protector as those hits hurt too. Otherwise, just keep your mouth shut and you'll be good. Not being mean, but when paint hits the mask and explodes in your face with an open mask it sucks.

Ok here goes

Wear loose clothing this way it will take up some of the engery out of the ball before it hits you.

Play hard adrenallen is your friend the more into the game you are the less you feel the hits, I reffed for a year and by far the worst hist I ever took were just standing there watching and getting hit by a newbie.

Gun safety applies, always wear your mask until you step off the playing field

take really good care of what ever mask your using, the cheaper ones fog up a bit you don't want to make it worse by putting your fingers all over it.
I also find that wearing abandana or backwards baseball hat tends to collect sweat and help minimize mask foging(its still going to happen but not as bad)

If you try to aim you marker like a rifle you'll hit nothing, best to shoot many times and stear the paint like water out of a hose.

figure out the limits of whatever marker your using and work within them. some marker are acurate along way others are not don't try to shoot farther than your marker is good for.

Use the props, trees, bunkers or what ever your playing with you want to stick out a little as possible, this gives the other side less to shoot

good luck to you, have fun

A few tips: 1) Wear a cup. At 300fps that's about 200mph.2) Where loose clothing: think of an egg being thrown against a hanging sheet vs a brick wall. 3) Beware, the trend lately is to "spray and pray"; be prepared for a rise in temper/bloodpressure if this happens to you. 4) Don't get fixated, MOVE.
I enjoyed the "woodsball" we used to play, more suspense. Now it all seems like arena style.
5)have fun!

The first time I played, I was running across an area to flank the other team and one of my own guys got me twice in the small of the back. So put some sheet metal underneath your clothing.

keep your head down and wear a cup. I got hit in the top of the head and the right testicle. Both hurt like hell, and could have been avoided... Both hits were on my first time playing paintball.

I haven't played much, but don't take off your mask.

I was playing in phoenix a few years back. The arena had some bunkers and I was taking fire from inside a shaded window. I fired back and the guy was popping up and ducking. When he ducked, he exposed an 11 year old kid who had removed his mask to adjust it. I hit him square in the face about four times.

Everything was good, but yo ucan lose your eye if you get hit right.

Cups really? I never knew so many people wear cups. I've been playing for 15 years. Most of my years have been in the tournament speed ball scene. I've never been shot in the boys. Neck protector is a good idea, so are gloves. I got shot in the hand one and that was it. Take a shot or 2 to the hand and you'll be wanting gloves.

i used to play paintball a bit, I never wore a cup, some close calls tho. Gloves are a good idea so your hands dont get all rawed up. Neck shots SUCK ASS one of the most painful shots, but they are rare, it doesnt hurt normally.
