Saiga 332c

Hey, I was looking at purchasing an assault rifle in the near future. One that I really like the look of is the Saiga 332c with a right-folding wire stock. However, I'd like to know if anyone is familiar with this kind of rifle, is there anything I should worry about, etc. ?

Silly me. I was also thinking of adding a quad rail to mount a holographic sight on it.

That's a 400 dollar rifle with a little work and parts thrown on it...The price of Saigas has gotten out of hand.

for that money I think it'd much rather buy a nice AR...or used M1A

You could build that rifle yourself for about $650, give or take (including the cost of the base rifle). I'm not sure what to make of the left-hand charging handle; if it reciprocates with the bolt carrier it basically makes your side-mount optics rail useless. Too much money for what you get IMO.

Well, I certainly wasn't going to buy it from this site!!! I have a friend who owns a gun shop, and he is always able to order stuff for me for a lot less money than many of the other dealers around here. Hell, I paid 100 bucks less for my XD9 SC than if i would have gone to cabela's (though that isn't saying much).
