Just an observation...not trying to bust your chops

We're talking about modifying the sights, making the rear notch wider by way of a dremel... thats not the same as adjustable sights It will alter the sight picture, and if you dont make the notch exactly even it will throw off the windage as well.
I'm pretty sure making the rear sight notch wider will make long range accuracy worse... think of the sights on an AR, the bigger rear sight is for close range, the smaller rear sight is for long range.

Sorry for the delay ... I've never been out that way, but might have to check it out sometime.
Usually I meet up with Gman on some BLM land that faces the Estrella's, behind Maricopa ... But, it looks like they are going to try to shut that whole area down, due to people trashing the place.
Does this cover your spot ?

Hey Bonehead. Did you ever get another Mosin Nagant? I just picked one up at Gander Mountain. Don't know if they have one near you, but they put them in their ad this past Thursday. They are running $99.99, Mine ended up, after taxes, to be $109.99. Got my first hex receiver. A 1933. That's not a great price but it's pretty good for around my area.

I have never ever done anything like that. I go above and beyond and count out all my brass before I leave an area. If I missed one Ill dig around till I find it. I also usually pick up other peoples brass and shell cases. Its to bad, I do my part and I have to suffer.
