General question for those who have put a new paint job on your weapons. How long do you have to let it sit to cure? He told my wife that she has to wait 30 days before racking it so it can cure properly. How did he put the weapon back together if the paint was all the way cured?

i used krylon, lol, on my build and if you dont let it dry properly the butt stock will stick, fingerprints, smudges etc. i usually set it in my car, this was during the summer and let the sun cook it for a few days before i put it back together.

MrsArmyGuy is cool as hell for her roll in the purchase of ArmyGuy's HK 91. Well, technically, it is her HK 91! LOL I still need to send out the muzzle cap that I said came with the rifle but forgot to ship with it. I have it packaged up, just PM me an address.

ArmyGuy, the rifle looks good! I was planning on getting it refinished one day, but never got around to it. Now get a low scope mount, an EOTech, and collapsable HK stock on that bad boy! Hell what ever you do, its gotta be better than that Simmons I sent with it. LOL

Its restored to original 1981 HK condition-even the paint is HK! the guy did a kick ass job on it, it looks stunning and brand new. The scope is going away, I've been researching new ones to see what would be a good fit! any suggestions?

MsArmyGuy45, you f'ing rock! Researching what scope to get your new rifle! Thats awesome! Will you let ArmyGuy45 shoot it?

I say get one of the original HK scopes for it. They are not really precision scopes, more like a battle scope I guess, but ti would be cool as hell!

I'd ge this: MGR-271 - H&K G3 Complete Rear Sight For G3 and HK91 Rifles Used German Military Surplus Grade II Condition (and either sell the old one for a couple hundred $ or stash it away. It isn't original to that particular rifle, but its an expensive upgrade piece)

and I'd get this:
SCP-971 - H&K G3 Hensoldt ZF Model ONE 4x24 Scope and Mount Fits H&K 41 and 91 and 93 and G3 Rifles with 4x Magnifiction
