Up for sale is my Rock Island GI 1911. This is a FUN pistol to own! I planned on keeping it and slowly upgrading it over time, however I needed to get something smaller and slimmer for carry, and the rules of the house are that if one comes in, another has to leave.
The pistol is in 98% condition, and has great fit and finish for a RIA. Only noticeable flaws are the recoil spring plug has some gouges on the front and there is very slight discoloration where my wedding ring sat on the frame. Its had 250 rounds through it - had some hiccups early in the break in process, but has smoothed out a lot, and after an extractor retension (was too tight), last 50 rounds fed without a hitch.
This pistol comes with some extra goodies, including 2 stainless Checkmate magazines with the dimple and hybrid follower - it has been recommended to up the springs to 11#ers, but haven't done so yet. Also includes Ed Brown Hardcore firing pin (installed), Cylinder and Slide pin set (mostly installed), and all stock items come with it (firing pin, pins, ACT mag). Comes with case and lock.
I have enjoyed owning this pistol, and know that if you ever had any problems, it is backed by the best customer service in the business.
