I can't decide what to put on my AR-15
As the title say I can't decide what optic to put on my AR. I have two style in mind ether some model of eotech with a 3x on a flip to side or a 1-4/6x30mm with a P.E.R.P style mount. The gun is mainly on the range but it will be used for things like coyotes and maybe deer and antelope. I would also like to shoot 3 gun if i find any comps in my area. What are some pros and cons of both styles that you guys have experienced?

Personally, I would not run a an EOTech and a magnifier....I had a PRO running in front of a 3x magnifier and the set-up lacks finesse.
I think most 1x RDS will work fine but I would put a 45 degree set of iron sights if you want to 3-gun it.
The only problem with 1-4xs, even though I like the set up better than RDS with magnifiers, is the weight. They can get hefty.
SO, in summation, you should buy/trade for my Aimpoint PRO

I'm leaning more towards the 1x4/6. I have been looking at the Burris tacops 1-4x30mm in a P.E.R.P mount.
And no thanks

Lol, it was worth a try. I knew it wouldn't be best for your needs though so I decided to address the rest of your question as well.

I've got the 1-4 on my new AR now and i like it alot so far with out shooting it. It will be a coyote gun and plinker as well. I used to have a spikes midlength with an aimpoint clone on it for a red dot. Took it a few times hunting and bagged a couple yotes and a fox with it on one outing. I think after that though i relized that i was just a bigger fan of having a scope on my rifle that im going to hunt with.

I just really don't know what I want to do with it. I can't make up my mind. Way too many options.
