I'll see if I can find it, but at one point I found a target you can print which is scaled for 25 yds and has a grid for how many turns and which direction on the front and rear sight. Its meant for a standard AR iron sights but I've used it for other optics.

I've never done it, so I can't vouch for the validity but in theory, it sounds like it would work.
It works, kinda.

The one thing that's missing is the shooter. Breathing, trigger squeeze, flinching, etc. are not accounted for, so it's never quite perfect.

Found it. The .jpg or .png versions of this aren't scaled properly when you print them out, but this one is a PDF and maintains the proper aspect ratio.

leadsled eliminates those variables since the weapon is held in place

I use this method, off sand bag rest on shooting bench. Fire one shot, then adjust crosshairs to intersect bullet hole. Leadsled would be even better. This method is the quickest I have found.

well we all know a 10/22 cannot be bore sighted.so take a lager pice of papper with a 1/4 - 1/2 dot placed in center of it to the range.( 2'x2' )now with some type of rest shoot a 5 shoot group out at 25 -50 yards 25 is better.

now while useing the same point of aim with the same target move the retical of your scope to the point of impact to the center of the group.if the scope has target knobs this is really easy to do by yourself.if not then get some one to help you.I always move the up/down first then move the left/right last while still holding the rifel in my rest as if I was still aimming at the target for the five shot group.

now if you did this as good as one can do then the rifel should be really close if not dead on.I have sighted in many rifels useing this method with only a handfull of rounds for many hunters.they always ask thats all you need to sight in my rifel are you sure you don't need the whole box of bullets.I say yes, thats all I need.I have had only one rifel that took over 6 rounds to sight in.that one rifel was a rifel that just needed to be a land marker only.it just wouldn't sight in.

Only one thing to say to this.

Spell check is your friend.
