Concealed Carry Holster recommendations for S&W J frames
Concealed carry holster recommendations for S&W J frames What are your recommendations for good quality and comfortable to wear IWB holsters with a moisture (sweat) barrier for concealed carry of S&W J frames?
I have a S&W Model 49 (blued steel) that I plan to carry when I get my concealed carry permit. I want a good quality IWB holster (preferably leather) with a good moisture (sweat) barrier to protect it from rust. I would greatly appreciate your comments/recommendations for this. I wear tee shirts under my shirt, but sometimes I sweat enough that places on my tee shirt are damp or even wet. Thank you very much. |

I actually really like the Bianchi accumold open-top belt holster. I carry it at 10:00 crossdraw and I can access it really, really quickly strong hand or offhand. I don't use a hammer retention strap (it's removeable on this holster).
I used to carry in the pocket all the time, but I realized there was no way I could access it with the off hand if needed. This position conceals easily under any untucked shirt.

I use a Mika pocket holster for my 442. Works great. Order turnaround takes a while but he's responsive to phone calls/e-mails.
Don't have experience with other holsters. |

I have 2 of the Mika pocket holsters, one round and one square (for different style pockets). They work great! They cost less than $20.00 each. I really like how they work.
