Thumbs up Got tired of high ammo prices

Like the title says I got tired of wasting almost 60 dollars every time I went to go shoot so I went to a local gun show this weekend and picked up this baby for a steal. It's a Ruger MKIII 22/45 with a 5" bull barrel. It's the target model I believe. I went out the next day and shot the heck out of it. My wife was mad I bought the gun but once she shot it she liked it. It's a great shooter and It's definitely one that I will keep forever and hopefully pass on to my son when he is older. I just can't say enough good things about this gun!

I have that exact same gun, and I feel the same way about it as you do!

Try out some CCI Mini-mags. Mine eats them like candy and seems to like them well enough for putting one ragged hole in the targets.

Congrats, I have the same gun I picked up not too long ago.

It's a pain to fieldstrip and clean, and you'll need to read the directions CAREFULLY to get it back together.... but it will go back... LOL...

Yes, it's a great shooter!

Congrats! Nice score!

I've got a Mark I and I used to have a Ruger Standard, which I regret selling.

They're all great!

I've had the MkII version of that same pistol for about 10 years and still love it.

Yes, for a long time, it saw very limited action...back when 9mm was 5 bucks a box and 45 ran me 8.50. In the past 6 months, I too have rediscovered the 22 pistol!

Very accurate and fun to shoot. Yes..its not easy to put back together after cleaning (getting it apart is a breeze) but you will learn it. Keep the manual near by - it describes how to do it very well.

Enjoy...that is one of the best things Ruger makes, if you ask me.
