Whe I got rid of my XD one of my justifications was that Mags for it were $29 and my Glock mags were only $15.

Now things seem to have switched around and the Glock mags are more expensive than the XD mags.

Wow...you're right...Glock mags HAVE gone way up.

Good thing I bought 5 LE trade in Glock 22 mags for 9.99 apiece back in March. CDNN had them on sale and I got 5 of these and 5 Beretta 96 hi-caps as well. You know...stocking up before the election, because you never know!

After the 1994 Clinton ban, I sold my old Glock 17 mags for 70 bucks apiece at a gun show. Whew....made a killing...but I'd really rather have no ban at all and normal mag prices.

I'm a mag whore. I have 25 XD mags, 50 AK mags, 50 AR mags, and about 30 FAL mags.

I carried a Glock through the ban years and remeber paying 75 bucks per mag. That sucked... SO I'm stocking up for a life time supply.

25 mags...holy crap!

I only have 4-6 mags for most of my pistols. Some (like my XD-40) I only have the two it came with.

It seems as if ALL magazines have been creeping up. I have been pricing P220 SIG mags and they too have gone up and are not hi-cap.

3 mags per pistol seems right to me, but it's always a good feeling to have a back-up supply. I have just one XD-9 Tactical and have four 10's and three 16s

. I just got a Glock 19 and have just two 15 round mags. One more should do the trick for me. Gunshow coming up in August

MY mania is driven by 3 issues: One mag prices should there be another ban. I got the magazines for dealer cost. Finally, if you go to a good, high round count training course, it really sucks to have 3 mags and have to spend all the down time loading magazines. I usually just have to reload them at lunch.

To make matters worse, I'm thinking about getting more and just throwing them in the safe. I remember the days of 75 dollar glock mags.

I've got 8 mags for my XD45

4 hi caps and 2 10's for my xd9sc and would like to get a few more hi caps.

We had a guy in our pistol course only bring 3 mags for his XD9SC and we kept having to take breaks every 3 or 4 drills so he could reload his mags.

I wish I would have known he had the 9 SC earlier I had 5 16 round mags riding in my range bag cause I brought my XD as a backup incase the G17 went down for some reason.

D __________________ Damien in Seattle I don't list my guns - I know glocks, FALs, and AKs but I'm not sure my ability to fill a gunsafe with guns make me an expert on anything. All that you can depend on from a 45 is that it will drill a .45 - .70 inch hole about 14 inches into someone. There will not be "energy dump", people will not fly backwards, and they will not necessarily fall as if they have been struck by lighting.
