Sell my XD for H&K? - XDTalk Forums - Your HS2000/SA-XD Information Source!

Okay, I've recently bought a HK45C, and fell in love with it. So much so, I'm debating on selling my XDs to get a H&K P2000, possibly the P2000SK. Just wondering how bad I'll get "bashed" on here for doing so?

Don't get me wrong, I Love my XD, but my H&K has edged it out a bit, and I'd like one in 9mm. I also, don't want to feel like I'm "betraying" all of you. This is an awesome forum, and you all feel like an extended family, so your opinions do hold some weight with me.

You need to do what's best for you. Who cares what we think? What may be good for myself, may not be good for the next guy.

I'm sure you'll be more than welcome here, even if you don't own an XD.

i sold my hk uspf 45 for my xd 45 c. couldnt be happier!

Nothing wrong with HK's.. On the same note there is nothing wrong with XD's either.. Experience has told me Unless it is a duplicate.. keep it as long as you can. Regret is a common side effect.. I would just wait till I could afford to buy it and add one to the collection rather than trade away inventory.. then again Nothing wrong with HK's IMO..

I can tell you one thing, I shot my friend's P30 and couldn't believe how sweet it was...... damn I wish I had one.

On the other hand, my xd45 is irreplaceable.

I had to choose between selling my XD 40 Service model and my Ruger P345 since I already had a XD 40SC and a XD 45C I kept the Ruger It has been an excellent gun a real tack driver and zero problems. On the other hand I would never be without a XD.

bought my wife a P30... I have to agree! It's very sweet! first time I shot it, 3 mags in 1 1/2" group

Get it if you want it. Its a good pistol. That said, consider the following:

more complicated manual of arms (unless you get the LEM)
more expensive magazines
legendary HK customer service (in a bad way)
more expensive.

Hell, I sold my XD for a GLOCK and they still let me in!!

I have an HK USPc 9mm and, though not what you're looking for, it's been a great gun. Love it! I'm sure you'll love whichever you decide on.

I love HK, but hate the 2000. Whatever fits you, I guess. Yes, they will still let you in here. You will just be second rate like me.

All that you can depend on from a 45 is that it will drill a .45 - .70 inch hole about 14 inches into someone. There will not be "energy dump", people will not fly backwards, and they will not necessarily fall as if they have been struck by lighting.
