EAA Witness or Glock for 10MM
I need to pick up a 10 MM and looks like the two most reasonalby priced options are the EAA at about 400 and and the Glock at about 550
Its a crying shame that Springfield doesnt make an XD in 10 MM... that would be the greatest option but alas... So that being said, what are the pros and con of the two options why should I but one over the other? |

I would reccommend a Glock 20.
I saw a potentially fatal accident with an EAA Witness 10mm, just a few months back, and I have to tell you, I am a little nervous about them. I have also seen a second EAA 10mm Wonder break a firing pin, jam the firing pin into an engaged position, and force a round into battery so hard that the primer was dented to the point we cannot believe it did not fire. A slam fire, out of battery is never a good thing, but they are REAL bad with the power of a 10mm behind them. People will refer to the KABOOM! issue with the Glocks, but believe it or not it is not that prevalent in their 20 and 29 series. Mostly in the .40's.

I believe the .40 KB's are caused by a poorly support chamber...something the 20 and other 10mm Glocks don't suffer from.
WHen I get a 10mm it'll be a Glock.

No experience with the EAA but I'll reccomend the G20 or G29

I've shot the EAA 10mm...it's VERY accurate...but had a few fail to feeds...It's a very nice gun. However there's just something sexy about a 10mm glock...can't beat the reliability of a glock (except with an xd of course

I've been researching this very issue, and I decided on getting a Glock 20 in the next few months. I have been reading on 10mmtalk.com, and I read a few threads about the EAA cracking or having other severe problems. That lead me to decide on the Glock. Plus finding aftermarket parts for a Glock is easy.
