Unhappy LCP Broke

So I finally got my LCP and after 10 days with only 56 rounds (Winchester white box) the trigger bar broke... I called their support talked to a guy for a few minutes and now there is a shipping label on its way for me to send it in and get fixed.
I have to say I'm disappointed that it broke, and I was worried the whole time I was waiting, hearing some of the "problems" with them. But it looks like they're going to make it right, so I guess in the end it'll be alright.

-----

Update. I just got it back from Ruger. They fixed it and put the new slide hold open on it.

Not to side track this thread, but a 'gun guy' told me today that Ruger is predicting about 3 years or so to fill backorders on the LCP.

Back to the topic, how did you like it while you were wearing things in??

Wow, that's both upsetting and frightening to hear about from a gun which was designed for the sole purpose of a last resort do or die CCW gun.

You could always throw it at the BG.

Held one finally, seemed too small to handle. I don't trust micro semi autos anyway.

and this thread solidifies that i will never own one. There is absolutely zero reason why a gun should break after 50 some odd rounds....

150 rounds thru mine so far.
No breakage.
No FTE or FTF.
No problems at all.
With proper finger on the trigger placement, it is fairly accurate.
It is small, but it does a fine job for what is was made to do.
Sorry you had a problem with yours MrHappy.
Thank God no one here has ever had to send any pistol back to the manufacturer for warranty work.
You naysayers make it sound like the first pistol to ever break.........

My 642 goes bang every time.

And before you think me cocky for saying that….

I actually feel pretty stupid. Okay not pretty, just stupid.

Why?

Because I did a poll here on XD Talk to see which gun most preferred for summer carry between the Kahr CW45 or the S&W 642.
The 642 received 34 votes.
The Kahr got 11.

The “other” category received 36 votes for a variety of guns including other S&W j-frame revolvers, XDs, 1911s, Ruger SP101 and LCP, other Kahrs, some Sigs, etc.

So I really wish I had listened to the poll I started and just gotten a 642. Instead I ignored it and bought the Kahr CW45. Live and learn and waste hard earned money I guess. So I got the S&W 642 and it goes bang every time. The Kahr still doesn’t.

Sorry to ramble and digress…

Allow me to rephrase. I don't trust micro "auto loaders". I think snubbie wheel guns are inherently more reliable.
