My bottom line for me in my reasoning for purchasing the LCP is this. I find myself not wanting to take the time to "rig up" my IWB holster and XD40sc just to make a quick trip to the 7-11 or the grocery store to pick up some milk. Because of this I feel vulnerable without it. This is where the LCP fits the bill nicely. It's what I call my grab and go gun. I know what your thinking and I do own a airweight and in the winter time it's my grab and go gun but for light dress attire I much prefer the LCP for cargo shorts concealability.
Recoil ? darn right the LCP has some kick but it's not designed to be a fun gun for the range. In a SHTF situation recoil is the least of my worry and I'm quite sure I won't even notice it. As Frank on Everybody Loves Raymond would say: " Don't worry about that recoil Nancy " Just my 2 cents. Last edited by Straight-Shooter; 07-19-2008 at 05:36 AM. |

To each their own
more than 500 rounds through mine so far and I'm still loving it.
any problems (about 3 fail to chambers) have been my fault from getting lazy or not paying attention to what I was doing. |

None other than William B. Ruger himself is at least partially responsible for the mag limit in the (thankfully) defunct AWB legistlation. He stated on NBC once that no "honest" shooter needs more than 10 rounds in a magazine.
At least no spokesman from Croatia has said anything outrageous like that.

I appreciate your contrasting opinions and experiences. Sounds like you've found a gun that suits you for daily carry, just as I have with the S&W. Like I often say "Life's too short, shoot what you want."
