Any good micro sixe 22lr pistols out there?

A buddy told me he was in the market for a good quality tiny 22 pistol for packing during dirt bike riding. Just for plinking and varmint fun, not 2 legged protection. I tried telling him about the LCP/Kel-Tec, but he wants the 22 for those really scary squirrels and chipmunks. I'm not aware of any good micro 22's out there. Surely there are some.

I like the Beretta Bobcat, nice little 22 auto.

Ruger Bearcat, while not quite as small as those pocket autos mentioned, it is way more accurate.

I second the Beretta 950BS (if you
can find one) or the Mod 21 which is
DA/SA.

Also suggest you give consideration
to the Phoenix HP22. They sell a short
barreled model for pocket carry and also
a longer barrel for target practice and
plinking. There is also a kit, which includes
both barrels. Should be priced at $150 or
so total.

Another voice for the Bearcat. Not much longer than my hand, it's about the most useful gun I own. I put it on when I put my pants on the morning, and I take it off when I go to bed. It's only replaced when I "go to town" with something more suitable for "serious social situations." It's not perfect for anything, but it's "good enough" for most everything.

Here it is beside a Ruger Single Six (most everybody knows how big a Single Six is). Both guns are in COWS holsters available throught the Ruger Website for about $45.00 shipping included.

And without the leather.

They're not cheap, but they will literally outlast you, your kids, and your grandkids.
