UPDATE. Really liking my new pocket gun.
Last week, I posted a thread on my new(used) Beretta .25 pocket gun. I bought it for those times when even a subcompact, such as my Glock 27 or Xdsc are a little too cumbersome.
In the one week that I have owned it, it really has proved itself. Last night, it was very hot and humid, here in Northeast, Ohio. I had to attend an informal function for a friend of mine. It was being held at a little conference center in Downtown, Akron. Being so hot and humid out, the apparel was khaki shorts and t-shirt with my Jesus sandals. So, I decided to pack my little Beretta Bobcat last night. It pretty much vanished in my front khaki pocket. Anyhow, Akron is becoming a very dangerous city. Whether it is due to the economy or what, the heinous crimes are increasing with a fury. Heck, the city is even having public meetings on how to deal with the crime and aggressive panhandlers. Anyhow, I had to stop off on the way and pick up some money at an ATM that is in a very unsavory section of town. I get to the ATM, and there is the dirtiest, nastiest bum standing in the drive-through, beating on the ATM, like it is magically going to give him cash or something. I had to ask him to please finish his business and move on. The guy circled my car the whole time I was using the ATM, and as soon as I got some cash out, he asked if I could spare a few bucks. NOPE! Anyhow, I don't have any great story. I didn't cap the guy, nor did I "flash" him my piece. He just went about his business, and so did I. I just wanted to relate that it is nice to have a heater on me at all times these days, and the Bobcat makes it possible and comfortable, regardless of the weather and level of undress. LOL. I am sure that the caliber debate will come into this, but I felt more than comfortable with 9 rounds of .25 at my disposal. First and foremost, it is a deterrant. Secondly, I wouldn't want 9 rounds of .25 in my face. I am now carrying this as a backup more than I am carrying my LCP.

I was getting careless a lot lately, and making those 10 p.m. runs to the convenience store for Fritos and Bean and Blockbuster without grabbing my heater.
It is not that I am afraid to leave my home without being armed, but my Rule of Law is that the minute I leave my Roscoe at home will be the time that I walk into the convenience store mid-robbery.

Glad you like it and believe me, I understand where you're coming from about pocket pistols....that's my exclusive carry these days and I don't look back. But while I feel comfortable with my .38, I don't think I'd take the .25 approach. More power to ya though.

I had a 950 jetfire once.. Actually I loved it, it ran great never malfunctioned and as you mentioned would disappear in the pocket. It was actually very accurate out to 10 yds. Great little mouse gun. I really liked the pop up barrel feature as it made checking/clearing the weapon very easy to do. I was looking at getting another Beretta pocket gun, the Tomcat 3032, then the Ruger LCP hit the scene and I was lucky enough to find one early in the game. (for the record this Ruger has worked out pretty good, 300+ and no malfunctions)
Great little pistol you have there LuvMy!

LMS,
The way you describe parts of Ohio ... You should be carrying a rocket launcher Nice little gun, and I feel the same way about calibers ... I don't care how small it is ... I don't want it in my face.

I have an old .25 pocket gun that my Grandma used to carry. (She worked with prisoners a lot.) Like newKid said anything is better than nothing, but if you have a LCP I don't see why you would carry this .25. The LCP is pretty dang small and very easy to conceal. To each his own, and congrats on the new gun. New guns are always good!
