Thanks for the replies folks...I will check out some of the recommendations, and do some shopping around. As far as warranties, has anyone had any experience with warranty claims for any of these scopes? Any good (or bad) customer service experiences?

The scope I am replacing is a BSA...back in the day, the shop I bought my rifle from threw the scope in for an extra 25 bucks. I'm going to hold on to it for now, even when I buy the new scope. Can't hurt to have a backup I guess, or to give to my Dad for one of his rifles (future or present).

I bought a Leupold 3x9x40 VX-ll for around $250 and I love it.

They are US made!!!!!

One benefit for me is they are in Beaverton, OR. and that's about 2 miles away.

Another important factor is, how is the servicing if I you nrrd it?

Leupold is great at fixing anything. just send it to them for adjustments, or to replace seals.

I have one and it's a fine scope. It's an awfully bright scope for sure.

I have the Mueller and the Fullfield II, both are exceptional on clarity and accuracy. You can't go wrong with either, but the Mueller will reach out a little farther due to the lens magnification.

Rifle Scopes - 7x & Up - Kalinka Optics Warehouse®

Rifle Scopes - KO LightMaster VPOI - Kalinka Optics Warehouse®

I've used both of these and have many friends that have these on their long range hunting and competition rifles. All are very impressed.
