My wife and I went to the range last night to start the break-in on her new PM40. 200 rounds of WWB with no Failures-to-Anything. However, when I used the extended magazine with the extra round (not a Pearce extension) the magazine kept coming out, usually once per mag. I'm 99% sure I wasn't hitting the mag release, since the last time I did it I made sure. Could a really tight grip with my little finger on the magazine put enough downward force to pull out the magazine?

It never happened with the flush-fitting magazine, which is another reason I'm sure it wasn't me hitting the release.

My wife had no issue at all. I'm thinking it was her weak, girly grip compared to my super-powerful manly grip!

It has not happened with my PM40 mags but I can see the logic of what you are saying. That thing has some pretty snappy recoil to it. I don't use mine extended mags that often but then I don't shoot that pistol that often either.

Yeah, it hurt all right. But it's a sweet gun! I may end up taking it when my wife isn't looking!
