Do baby eagles say "Baby Eagle" on the slide or does it say "Desert Eagle"? My buddy showed me his Desert Eagle and it was tiny, like the size of a Baby Eagle and chambered in 9mm but it had Desert Eagle on the slide. I always thought Desert Eagles were only .50 and .44mag so I was kinda baffled. On a side note, are the smaller Baby/Desert Eagles in 9mm very reliable? I really like the feel of his gun and was thinking about picking one up.

Baby Eagle 9mm.
![]() As far as reliability, not sure since I don't own one. I do like them alot though. I see them as being a more comfortable version of the big Desert Eagle (which I owned). |

I had a Baby Eagle 9mm (full size, steel), just like the one pictured above. It was a really sweet shooter. It was very accurate, too! It's probably the most accurate pistol I've ever owned, and reliability was flawless in the time I had it. Had to sell it to fund my AR, otherwise I'd still have it.

I own two Baby Eagle compact versions in 9mm, one steel and the other polymer.
Both have been extremely reliable. The polymer model is my wife's primary defensive weapon while I use the steel model as a range gun. If you get it I think you'll be satisfied.

I have the exact thing as above in brushed nickel - dead balls on.
I am actually thinking of unloading it along the way. T |

Hope this anwers a few of your questions about the Baby Eagle:
The whole line of small pistols from Magnum Research is called the Baby Eagle Pistol. Available in 9mm, 40 S&W and .45acp. They are marked on the pistol frame as "DESERT EAGLE PISTOL". They are not marked Baby Eagle. In fact the only place that I have seen them referred to as a Baby Eagle is on the website and on the cover of the owneres manual. Even the case the gun came in is only marked "Magnum Research" on the outside, no reference to Baby Eagle. There are four basic models of the Baby Eagle but many different configurations. -Standard, full size grip 4.72" bbl -Semi compact, full size grip 3.7" bbl -Compact, short grip 3.5" bbl -Compact polymer There are many different configurations and finishes. There a couple of polymers with light rails. As far as how the 9mm shoots. I have the compact, steel 9mm and it is a great gun. It shoots accurately and handles well. I bought it for my wife and she loves it. I have about 35 guns and would not ever consider getting rid of this one. I hope this helps. |
