A friend of mine at work offered me a Beretta 85S .380 with accessories for $300. does this seem like a fair price. can anyone tell me more about this pistol.. are they nice.. any info on .380 in general.

from what im told it has been to the range one time and stored since.. she i take this offer? might be something nice for the lady friend or as a car piece.

any help would be great.

It's a decent price for it and a good investment since it's a Beretta. Probably won't make a profit later if you sell it, but you'll probably get your investment back. Which is a good thing

Maybe ask to fire it first? I had one like that, but found the smaller framed pistol to have quite a "snap" in the recoil department. Believe it or not, I find the 9mm in a XD (or any other full size pistol) to be more comfortable to shoot than a small frame pistol in .380.

I sold my .380 years ago and never had any interest in getting another one.
