Picked up a 10 today

After expecting a month or more of waiting ... I came home last night to a wonderful message ... Your gun has arrived

A Tanfoglio Witness Elite Match in 10mm now sits comfortably in the safe waiting for Saturday to arrive.

The streaks are from wiping it down. It is not scratched.

Nice. The local gunshop/hunting store has one of those (not the "Match" model) and I want it. Fits my hand real nice the ergos are sweet. 450 bucks. If it wasn't here in NC where I had to ask permission from the Sheriff's department to get one it would be in my gunsafe right now. I might end up picking one up when I get home to Texas.

IIRC they are made by CZ aren't they? They have a frame and slide almost exactly like the CZs.

That price seems a little high, at least for Arizona.
This was $499 before taxes.

CZ ... Basically they are a clone with a few improvements, but I'm not sure exactly what is different.

I just gave it a good cleaning, and I am impressed!! The interior is almost as wmooth as the exterior.
I'll let you know how it shoots.

Wait. 450 is a little high for AZ although you paid 499? I'm confused.

The Match version is about $100 more than the standard.

There's a place within a mile of me that has a standard listed for $325

I paid a little more because it had to be ordered. If I could have located the Match version in a display case ... I'd have probably paid a little less than I did.

The Match is well worth the difference in price.

Specs:
  • $229 for conversion kits for 9mm, .40, 38 Super , .45 and 10mm available
  • Produced in the Tanfoglio Custom Shop
  • Single action trigger kind of like a 1911. Very smooth out of box with pre and over travel adjustment screws.
  • Really tight slide to frame fit.
  • Fully adjustable Tanfoglio Super Sight on the rear. Interchangeable front sights with fiber optic available
  • Stainless match grade polygonal 4.75" barrel
  • Extended Safety
  • Extended Mag Release
  • Hart Shaped Hammer
  • 15+1 capacity in .38S, .40 or 10mm (10+1 in .45 & 18+1 in 9mm)

I will tell you that this is a fine gun, a friend of mine purchased one and it was a pleasure to shoot. I liked the feel of it so much that I bought one in 40S&W since I am a 40 caliber nut. In my opinion the witness match is the most accurate pistol I have ever fired. I have fired remington, federal and winchester ammo in mine also several different handloads in mine and I still can't believe how fine this pistol is. My friend has done the same with his 10mm with the same outstanding results. I don't know what brand of ammo you will be shooting but my buddy bought some american eagle 10 mm by federal and had 2 cases to rupture and didn't even know it until he took them out of his tumbler to reload them. You may want to steer clear of this brand I know I am. I honestly believe that the witness is the secret of the gun world and if more people tried them they would be amazed. (no I dont work for EAA, I just like my witness match that much)

Actually, I picked up one box of what you just recommended I not get. Oh well ... I've got a Hornady progressive being delivered Monday and after I get the kinks worked out reloading some of the brass I've been collecting ... I'm gonna purchase 1000 10mm shells and go from there. I never actually intended to shoot manufactured ammo in the thing. But you know how it is with a new gun. I'm supposed to be meeting up with PackerfanXD on Saturday ... So I just said ... It's gonna go bang

Hopefully it's still there, if you're interested, I believe it was a 9mm.
It's a small place and I actually held it last friday. So they probably still have it.
