Should you leave the LASER boresighter in while shooting?

Wonder if that is covered under the warranty? Man that sucks. Some people need to THINK at the range.

I have seen those pictures of the split barrel many of times but NEVER seen the picture of the guy that shot it.

I CALL BS!! There is no way thee shooter was injured like that. The only damage to the gun appears to be just the barrel. So how does a split barrel come back 3 feet and injure the shooter??? There is no damage to the stock, bolt or scope so how does it hurt the shooter?!?!?!

That is some hardcore BS put together by some tree huggin anti.

Could be, but I doubt it. Why is it that every time I have seen those pics in the past there was never the picture of the shooter?? I have a feeling someone added a picture of a car accident or similar just to make it appear there was an injury.

Have to agree here. This is first time a shooter was attached to the pictures. Also the person on the stretcher looks like he has a cervical collar on. I guess he got whiplash from the blowback too. I call BS at least on the shooter.

Yep, the picture of the shooter is BS. I have also read that the split parts of the barrel were manually bent back to give a more dramatic effect.

However I do believe that is is true and can happen, just not to the extent they show in these pictures. It was tested on Mythbusters and they could not get results anything like those pictures.

I'm calling hoax on this too now. Look at the pic that shows the peeled barrel up close. You can see the rifling in the barrel, the splits probably SHOULD have followed the rifling but they didn't. Also THAT much force should have pretty much dismantled the rest of the gun and fragmented the barrel not just peeled it like that. I say it was band-sawed and then peeled like that in someones shop.

The ranges I visit have all had at one time or another firearms that have been damaged due to various causes. Squib rounds, which are partial dudes that had just enough power to send the bullet into the bore where it lodges forming a very tight obstruction, the next shot KA-BOOM!
The barrels split along the sides, also all usually have a budge where the obstruction was, splits have been several inches and have never extended to either the muzzle or breach and they've only had a single split. Ever see a hot dog that was over cooked? They, ruptured barrels, split along the sides in one place much like the hot dog.
Other things that scream FAKE,
resolution of injured man not the same as the pictures of the rifle,
no damage at all to the scope, stock receiver, so just how and what caused the facial injuries? The force that would have do damage seen would have gone 360º radially outward from the barrel or and some down range, nothing would have come backwards (again note no scope, stock or receiver damage).
The boresighter is soft aluminum, bullet would have done a hell of a lot of damage to it not to mention "supposedly" it was found almost 100 yards down range, surely that would have caused more damage or even some dirt. There is also no powder burns on it. Looks more like some one just peeled the tip with a pliers.
Notice too the way each 'rib' is bent a couple inches from the ends. Looks more like it was held in a vice (after being sawed) as each rib was bent back.

I have 3 pieces of 1/4" Stainless tubing on my desk that were burst @ 23,000 psi. They look like a bubble formed then broke.
