I own a mossberg 500, works great and priced low. Rem. is good too.

I'm a big 870 fan. If I'm looking for a 12g pump, I'm not sure if I'll ever buy anything else.

I have an 870 and love it. I know a lot of the local Law Enforcement Officers carry 870's.

I love my 870, but I think that any of them would be a good shotty.

I have both the 870 and the 500. The 870 is better made but a little bit more expensive, the 500 is still good and a little cheaper.
If you want the better of the two, spend the extra change and get the 870 IMHO. |

I vote Remington 870, too.
I know the Benellis are nice but the 870 is proven and has a great reputation. - brickboy240

I want to say Benelli, but I don't think that the aftermarket goodies are as available or as cheap.

Mossberg 500. I've got it and love it, but either gun you mentioned is good.
