The DeSantis Speed Scabbard and the "Yaqui Slide" from El Paso Saddlery get my vote. The Yaqui Slide will fit most mid-sized Glocks from the 17/22 to the 19/23 range...maybe the smaller ones, too. I have one that I carried my G17 in and now my G22 rides in it...a perfect minimal holster that I have had for 10 years and it shows very little wear or tear.
Sorry, but I am just not into the plastic or synthetic soft holsters. I have a few, but don't use them much. Leather is real...and better if you ask me. Those are great CCW holsters for any autopistol. Not the cheapest things out there, but you get exactly what you pay for. - Brickboy240

Great choice on the pistol. I think its the best Glock made. Really a super gun. I'd look at comp-tac for CCW use. Fast, durable, positive "click in". Wait time can be measured in hours not weeks. I have several and they are all great.

All that you can depend on from a 45 is that it will drill a .45 - .70 inch hole about 14 inches into someone. There will not be "energy dump", people will not fly backwards, and they will not necessarily fall as if they have been struck by lighting. |

El Paso Saddlery is the same way - a waiting period. However, you're getting a custom hand made to order piece from a 100+ year old company that made holsters for General Patton and the Texas Rangers...so you're buying more than a great holster.

How often on the carry? If it's not all the time I'm happy with my little $18 Fubus, but if it's all the time I'd go with something more comfy.

Congrats on the G19! I have mine on my hip as I type this; it's a sweet gun. As for carry, I have a Cross Breed Super Tuck, which is molded for my HK USPc, but fits this like a glove as well. It's been a good holster, no real complaints.
