i like the fact sigma is trying to clone glock but i can get around that trigger. it is the worst trigger i have ever lay my finger on. Den wesson 357 to trade with a sigma, not worth it. if he is in So Cal, i'll pay hi $250 for his den wesson. and he can use on part of XD or glock what ever he like. just don't trade for a sigma.

Wow, I ran into a buddy of mine the other day when going for a run, and he showed me his new gun. it was a Sigma, my first thought was what a cheap piece of sh!t. It felt like a cheap childrens toy in my hands, it just FEELS like low quality. The trigger? WTF WAS THAT? Are they SERIOUS?!?
I didnt want to pull on the thing too hard, it looked/felt like it was going to snap under the tension.. I dont understand how the trigger design is beneficial? its just a pos..

I bought one recently and have shot at least 800 rounds through it with no problems.
However, I do not like the trigger pull. I like the XD a whole lot better.
My sub-compact XD .40 is more accurate; mainly due to the trigger pull I believe.

I have a coworker/friend that is considering trading his Dan Wesson 8' 357 mag revolver for this Sigma 40S&W.
Product: Model SW40VE Pistol
I think I'd be holding on to the Dan Wesson.

There are worse guns out there than the Sigma and there are a LOT worse deals than the Sigma with the rebate + 2 free mags. That said, the .40 doesn't have the power of the .357 (arguably) so I wouldn't make that particular trade. It's a personal choice.

I have the "enhanced" 9mm Sigma and I think it's a GREAT weapon. Combat accurate, shoots to point of aim every time, goes bang every time I pull the trigger no matter the ammo, you have to do something boneheaded to mess it up, and it's pretty concealable. I shoot better with it than with my XD (mostly due to practice time, yes, but better is still better). In short, if he does decided to do the trade, I don't think he'll be disappointed (as long as it's the "enhanced" .40).

PS: IIRC, the SW40VE holds 14+1 rds. of .40 S&W (which is a step up from 12, I reckon).

What model Dan Wesson does he have? How many rounds does he have through it? What kind of shape is it in?

Well, I'm in the minority, but I actually own one. So I'm not saying what I heard, or what my friend said, or what I thought. I had a 40 that was as accurate as my XD's, Sig's or anything else for that matter. I still own a 9
that is the same. The trigger pull is hard, but it's not unbearable by any
means. There's no other safety so it's fine. If it's for SD, the trigger pull
is good. Tell your friend to shoot whatever he is looking at and go from
there. But, at least have him check out the XD's. If he wants to save
some money the 40VE is a good weapon. JMO
