When I ordered a 512 they called me the next day to tell me they were out of stock. I asked what they could do for me and they sent me a 552 for a few bucks more and free shipping. Pretty good service if you ask me.

Yeah I ordered some ladder rail covers they shipped out the same day. Have not got them yet. But seems good to me so far. Im just always a lil iffy spending $400 over the internet. BBB rates them a D. so thats discouraging but maybe they have improved recently.

A D rating by BBB is a valid reason to be wary of dealing with them. I would consider calling them and asking them why they have a D rating and what they will do to make sure that your orders are handled properly. If you don't like their answers, buy from someone else. If you like their answer, start small and work up based on your purchase history and experience.

So far 10 people have stated that they ordered from botach and had good experiences. The other said, "I've heard Horror stories". But didn't state they ordered something and had a good or bad experience themselves. So I guess Botach just loves XD Talk members I guess 10 orders and 10 good experiences should be enough. It would be for me.

Another thing to remember is that people sometimes have unrealistic expectations of a merchant. Sometimes a product fails and they blame the merchant rather than the manufacturer. Sometimes they fail to read the terms and conditions of sale and then b*tch afterwards about how messed up the merchant is when in fact they are messed up.

I bought a sewing machine once with a cast iron frame from a merchant in Canada. It arrived with the frame broken in 18 places. Who is to blame... the merchant or the shipper? In this case the merchant was to blame for improperly packing the stand and failing to alert the shipper to the special handling needed since old cast iron is heavy, brittle, and quite fragile.

It is very easy to blame the shipper as I initially did until I examined everything in greater detail.

It pays to look at things in perspective and study service failures in a little bit more detail because you will often find that things aren't as they seem. Most businesses that survive for any appreciable period of time don't do so by failing to meet customer expectations.

Botach beware !!!

I guess i should have read here before ordering . The "horror stories" that have been posted are spot on !!! I ordered some Ar parts , some 123's and 2 set of TFO's the beginning of the month . I recieved a box with the AR parts and batteries but no sights, And no vertical foregrip .
After a phone call they credited me for the foregrip , they claimed it was no longer avaliable , I was told the sights shipped in a different box .
A little over a week goes by , i make another phone call , This time im told that my sights are on backorder , they are going to be shipped direct from the manufacture .
After over another week , I recieve 2 pair of the $45.00 clearance sights , Not the 2 pair $89.95 TFO's that i paid for .
Another phone call , This time i'm told they are very sorry . A supervisor will be calling me back to resolve my issue .
Waited all evening with no call back , So i shoot off an email explaining the situation , i receive a canned reply providing me with my tracking # , That was helpful
So three more calls today with no help , I keep getting told the supervisor that is to speak to me is away from her desk . I have sent another email tonight attempting to return my whole order . This appears to be the only resolution , Return it all , Get a return to my CC or dispute it with CC co .

I would rate this THE WORST transaction i have had , I would advise anyone to spend your money with a company that has some respect for a customer . BOTACH is not one of those companies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
