Taurus Millieum Pro Help

So a year ago I got my GF the thread title gun and just the other day she took it to the garage to clean it. I've been with her every time she's cleaned it and she's proved to know what she was doing. Well now the slide will not go back far enough to lock it back and so I cannot get the take down pin back in ethier. It's possible she didn't mess it up and the gun is just having problems but you know how it goes when something goes wrong and you wern't around to witness it... But the other confusing thing is her gun always stays at my house with me, well after inspecting the gun after she brought it to me I discovers the front sight it broken. I know I never took it out to mess with it she claims she has no idea how it happend and said she didn't drop it... again I have no idea how this happend ethier.

So any ideas on how to get the gun to go back together I have it narrowed down to the feed ramp going down as it's supposed to when you cock it back only there it's hanging up on a part of the frame inside. I tried it without the spring in it just to see it that was the problem and thats when I discoved the feed ramp getting caught. The slide will go back without the barrel in it. Also since I need a new front sight I haven't been able to find any place that sells sights with out the pair of front and back. Sights are pretty expensive, the gun only cost about $350 I couldn't imagen putting another $100+ into it, I know some of you would say I should have got this or that instead of a Taurus, I haven't had any problems with Taurus prior to this gun and I'm not here for a coulda woulda shoulda. Only problem solving, thanks.

Update

So after playing with it some more, I discovered it was not a feed ramp problem it was a spring problem. The washer that's between the spring ans the front of the rod was off center I pulled it back and re-centered it and it's back in working order. I guess it was the spring binding and pressing the barrle down making it look like the feed ramp was getting caught. (which made no sense to me at how itwas doing that) But the unexplained broken front sight still remains a mystery and any ideas on a cheap replacment (prefferable just the front if thats an option) If not and I have to replace them completly whats the buzz on tru glo vs tritium and the various brands and colors.

Glad you got this issue solved.

As far as the sight issue, I'm sure her other boyfriend messed it up.

Well at least I would know how it happend and I could train him on proper gun handling skills. He can have the girl just don't hurt the gun!
