Colt Officer's Model Target .38 special at the local pawn shop.

Has Herter's target grips. A trigger shoe and has been modified for SAO. The trigger is unbelievable. Perhaps 2-2½ lbs. No slack at all.

I have a real feeling that this one is coming home with me.

With Herter's grips, nothing wrong with
that, it is no doubt one of the 'older'
models which means to me, that the
maker put the real stuff into making
it.

Good for you! Nothing beats the muzzle flash of a good revolver! And the recoil kick can never be duplicated by a semi-auto pistol!

If you're new to wheel guns, and shoot two-handed, just watch your second hand position... you want to keep away from the front of the cylinder, as some blast will leak between the cylinder front and the barrel... especially noticeable with higher power loads, e.g., .38+, .357 mag, .44 mag

Gun was built in 1951.

Needs a refinish job. Going to run 100 rounds though it and then have it refinished and a new crown cut.
