as posted in my intro thread, i just recently purchased my first xd with the stim check. i also have a usp45 full size and contemplated selling it to get an xd 45, but i have decided that i like my hk too much.

yes, alpental should get another xd, just look and see how the hk and xd sit well together:

Hmmm, they do look nice together!

HK Update:
I just took it out again yesterday and I’m totally sold on HKs. It is a sweeeeeet shooting gun. I have 200 rounds through it so far, with various ammo and shooters. Not a single issue of any kind. So far, so great! Now let’s see if it stands up to the test of time.

Don't worry, we always come back.

I traded my XD9 Service for a Ruger LCP a few months back, leaving me with my XD9sc as my only SA pistol. This past week I came across a good deal on a used XD9 service and snatched it up.

Also, last week I bought an H&K USPc 40. It's an amazing firearm.

I’ve always wanted a full size duty weapon that has some history to it. I already have a little Glock, the Sig P226 is a little too dated for me while the M&P is a little too new… HK USP just right! The HK USP has proven track record and is somewhat of an iconic weapon.

The USP is going to be my plate shooting gun. In this case, I like the manual safety for the “cocked and locked” position. I like the longer sight radius, barrel length and weight over the P30 also this monster was originally designed around 40S&W so it eats up 9mm with little recoil… again… quick follow up for plate shooting.

P30 is very nice looking firearm but the USP is also dead sexy and proven. Oh, I also don’t need the Picatinny rail of the P30 but if I do, I will just buy an adaptor

Cheers

I love the USP, but I'm having a tough time figuring out if I want the USP, or the new HK45 . The HK45 feels a lot better in my hand, but I'm wondering if the USP would be better with a hogue grip or something similar. Too many decisions....

if i had to buy an hk 45, and cost being equal, i'd suggest the hk45 and not the usp. the hk45 has a standard rail that the usp does not. but if you can get a good price on the usp, there you go.

mine has sentimental value as it's the first semi-auto purchase and it carried me through the ccw course.
