First Gun for Girlfriend

Well,
i finally got my woman interested in shooting. Shes shot all of my guns but by far likes the .22Lr. This will ONLY be a target/plinking gun. For CC she wants a J-frame .38+P
So, im buying her the .22 Problem is, She wants a Sig Mosquito or a CZ Kadet. I want a Ruger Mark III or Buckmark. We kinda agree a little on the Walther being a little toyish, so i think thats out of the question. BUT given these options, whats the best "bang" for our buck? I want something we can pass down to our kids, not something that will fall apart.
Help dudes. Help.

I'd vote for the Buckmark, but if you go with her wishes, get the CZ

I know nothing about CZ's other than they look cool. Are they quality firearms? or will i be fixing it every 500 rounds...

The CZ is a quality pistol, more than capable of filling the role of a plinker; but, unless I already had a CZ 75 that I wanted a 22 version of for practice, it wouldn't be my first choice. I have reservations on the Sig Mosquito as it tends to have a heavy trigger that impacts accuracy. Both are fine firearms, but if I were in your shoes, I'd opt for the Ruger or Buckmark and use the money I saved ammo.

Suggest to her that she shop for the pistol just like she shops for shoes...... try 'em on. If it doesn't "feel right" in her hands, she'll never shoot it enough to become proficient with it..... just my two cents worth.

thats true, but we all know what happens when you take them window shopping. At first they just want to look at the shoes. Then try them on, then the next thing you know your checking account dosnt exsist and your carrying 30bags in your hands....but maybe it wouldnt be that bad if i was buying more guns! lol

Have you guys held the P22? I find it to be a great gun. Fits well in my hand, shoots very well, and no mechanical problems. It's picky with ammo, though. Have to use high velocity rounds...mini mags seem to work best.

Otherwise I'd say a Mark II/III. A few people have told me the Mosquito isn't very good, but I have no experience with it myself.

I have a Buckmark with the 5.5" barrell. I really like shooting it but It does not feel very balanced, like it's a little heavy on the end. I thought about buying a fluted aluminum trail lite barrel for it but then I remembered that I have not even picked up since I bought my XD
