Anyone know about Mauser pocket pistols?
I recently got ahold of a Mauser 7.65 (32acp) hand gun. It's quite an old semi-auto...WWI era. I've been looking around for take down instructions and found some here:
Modern Firearms - Mauser 1910 1914 and 1934 pistol However I've run into a problem. When you eject the magazine, the slide goes forward and it will not lock back in place...so you have to hold the slide back like you would a glock in order to get the barrel out...no biggie i guess. However, the slide refuses to go foward to finish the disassembly...it just sticks there. If you put a mag in like it says before letting the slide go, the slide wont go...i'll only go foward if a) there is a round chambered or b) if there is no mag...but i never goes all the way forward. SOOOO my question is...anyone here have experience with these old mausers and if so...have any insight as to why it's not working correctly (besides the fact that is a really old used gun)? Thanks! |
