Just curious if I'm the only one or not. How may people find themselves carrying their S&W 642 or similar 5 shot .38/.357 more and more instead of what else is in the gun safe. I find my 642 inside my waistband more and more lately. Usually in a Bianchi Professional or Galco Summer Comfort loaded with Cor-Bon DPX 110 gr +p.

I like being able to pocket carry, something I can't do with my other handguns... And its more than adaquate for 98% of the social situations I find myself in. It mostly rides in a Mika Pocket holster, but sometimes in a Bluegrass belt holster.

Yes, so the snubby goes out in public far more than anything else I own.

Summer time here in Texas. 642 in Mika is my preferred carry method. No one has noticed...customers, co-workers or subs. Love it!

My pockets aren't big enough....my 38 Bodyguard rides in my waistband on its Barami Hip-Grips.

Yeb, my bobbed 637 goes with me most work days in the pocket. Sometimes the XD rides in the briefcase as backup.

It's the weekend right now though, and I've been in town all morning with the XD on my hip.

I'm learning to love mine. I love having the option of pocket carry with my desantis nemesis, where I can drop it in my pocket and go, and I also love being able to stick it in my crossbreed supertuck and wear it with my jeans when its a little harder to get it in and out of a pocket. For me, its either my 442 or my XD9 service, and I usually only opt for the XD when I'm wearing my baggy cargo shorts. I need to find me a smaller 9mm (maybe an XDsc, but looking at a Kahr as well).

I bought my 642 a couple months ago and I've carried it everyday since.
I bought for occasional carry, but it is so small and light, I can't put it down.
I've pocket carried it the whole time.
Either with a cheap Uncle Mike's pocket holster , or without a holster in a cargo shorts pocket.
I'd like a nice OWB holster if I can figure out which one I want.
Otherwise I'd carry my XD9sc.

i stopped carrying my XD for my 642. the weight difference was the issue for me.

i forget i have my 642 on my hip sometimes it carries so nice lol
