Sig P226R Question
So I'm looking to spend some of my stim package money along with bonus money. A local guy has a P226R 9MM SA/DA for sale with ~500 rnds through it. Comes with (4) 15 rnd mags, Hogue and factory grips, blue box, bedair & factory guide rods and lock. He says its LNIB!
What does the R indicate in P226R? I searched and couldn't find anything but am guessing it means tactical rail. Do you guys think $600 is fair price for a FTF local trade? I've emailed him to see if it has night sights but doubt it. I've always wanted a Sig

R = rail.
$600 sounds like a decently reasonable deal. |

I'm just waiting to hear back from him. It looks like $600 is a fair price. Most of the places are over $650 to $799 NIB.

I miss my P229.
I also feel that he is offering you a good price on it.

Well he confirmed tonight Rail w/o night sights $600. Going to run it by the wife see what her thoughts are either that or I need to find the new gun excuse thread. She will know if I buy another one. She's been watching & counting...... DOH

I had a 226R with night sites. It was a great pistol, but I couldn't keep from engaging the slide release, so when it was empty, the slide wouldn't lock back. I had to trade it off, but it was a great pistol.
I think you'll like it. $600 sounds a little on the high side for one wthout night sites, but not too bad.
