Just picked up a Ruger LCP today at my local shop!
It was a bear finding anyone in Phoenix that had it or could get it. All that and the pistol is made 2 hrs away (Prescott, AZ) ? None the less I was quite pleased with the feel of the pistol. Even with big hands I felt comfortable that I would be able to grip the pistol firmly. I was surprised as the trigger pull was way better than I was anticipated. I am going to hit the range tomorrow after I clean it tonight after work as it is dripping with factory oil/grease. I will try to post a range report next week sometime.

I was shooting at my range today and when I got done I asked if he had a waiting list for the LCP. He said " I have one" So as he started looking for the gun, I started to get out my wallet. Then he said that he couldn't find it. He looked in the book to see if they sold it and it wasn't written down. He is supposed to call me if they find it. Oh well, I guess it wasn't meant to be. Congrats on your new purchase!!! Let us know how it shoots.

I like the LCP's just wish they came in 9MM; I have a hard time carrying anything smaller/slower then a 9MM for a pocket gun. Which is why I bought the Kahr which wasn't cheap BTW. Maybe Ruger will come out with a LCP in 9MM in a few years.

Have you shot the p3at to compare them at all? Just curious how the trigger pull compares between the two.

Well, I went to the range after work last night, And put about 70 rnds through it. 20 COR-BON 90gr (carry Ammo) & 50 Magtech 95gr ball ammo. The gun ran flawlessly, with out a hiccup. I will say with my big hands I barley can get two fingers around the front strap of the grip. Didn't seem to be a problem when I was shooting it. The LCP held 5-6" groups strong hand rapid fire @ 7yds. When I took the time to aim with the almost non-existent sights it was quite accurate. The ergonomics are perfect for point shooting as this pistol was intended. I will say that for a little beast it is, it does recoil considerably. I do not have any experience shooting Polymer pocket pistols. All of the pocket pistols I have experience with have been an alloy (Berreta mostly) and I found the recoil to be a bit of a surprise. My Arm was sore for a couple of hours after shooting & I generally don't have a problem shooting .357 mags al day at the range. The trigger was smooth and took little to get used to. I pocket carry right now, though I am considering IWB to facilitate an easier draw. I did take some pics at the range but ended up leaving my camera on the lane when I left. fortunately they have it put up for me and I am going to pick it up at lunch, I should have a chance to post some of the range result later this weekend, I have limited internet connection at home so It may have to wait till Monday.
I have not Shot a P3AT, and could not comment on the trigger pull differences. All and all I would have to agree with the majority of reviews that are already out on the LCP. It is a great little pocket gun.
