Thinking about sellnig my Colt Trooper Mk. V.
Just curious as to what you all think would be a fair price for me to ask for my Colt. Its a Trooper Mk. V, .357, 6"bbl, with the pach rubber grips, and adjustable rear sight.
Pistol shoots nice. Nice action, smooth, accurate, seems pretty tight. There is a bit of holster wear on the tip of the muzzle. But otherwise its in very nice shape. Im thinking about selling it. Whether to another person or to a gun shop. But I have no idea what kind of price to put on it. Any ideas? Anyone interested?? Thanks! Justin Pics are right after I got home with it. So I hadnt cleaned it yet. Being my first pistol...and blued...I wasnt sure how to go about it. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Good looking 357, the local gunshop owner lets me see his gun value book. I would call around to a few shops an see what they would buy it for or sell it on consignment that would give you a good idea. You might also check on gunbroker and see if you can find a few for sale. That would make a great truck gun; mount a mini-gun vault behind the seat and always have one in the vehicle.

I always look for SOLD completed auctions on GunBroker. that gives you an idea of what they are selling for in an environment with knowledgeable buyers (usually).

Thanks a lot guys!! I got a "ballpark" from a local shop without them seeing the gun. They said 350-375. But those values help me quite a bit!
I tried gun broker. Found a couple NIB nickel finishes. And plenty Mk III's. But not many Mk V pistols. Ill be honest...I dont really WANT to sell it. But I want a 1911 at some point. And I shoot my XD so much during a range trip, that I hardly pick it up. And Im looking to buy another motorcycle soon. I miss my old one, and this weather is making me regret selling it. So...just feeling out my options for some extra dough. Thanks again! If anyone hears of someone wanting something like this...send em my way! Justin |
