Now has a different scope on it, and Im actually looking for a different one again. Im thinking of the SFWA Super Sniper for it now.

Hands down the worst gun I have ever owned was a Savage (I have blotted the model out of my mind) 7MM Rem Mag. I could hit a target with it at 100yds, but didn't really ever want to fire it. It was the single most painful weapon I have ever shot. I have shot some pretty heafty stuff, but nothing more painful to shoot than this thing. I think I paid around $300 for it with a scope at Wal-Mart. Still not sure why I bought it. I ended up trading a guy even up the rifle for an 18ft flat bottom John boat and trailer. Best boat I've ever owned.

The worst gun that I ever had (and thankfully for a very brief time) was back in the late 70's, and it was a snub nosed Smith & Wesson .357 magnum wheelgun. It was heavy overall, the center of its' gravity caused the barrel to dip way down, and I had to put on HUGE Pachmayr grips to try and compensate. It was a happy day when I bought it, and an even happier one when I sold it.

Worst gun I've ever owned was a Springfield 1911 G.I. It wasn't bad in regards to mechanical issues or grouping problems, it was bad in it is the only 1911 I've ever fired that ejected brass straight back into my forehead. It didn't matter what mags i used, what ammo, what grips were on the gun, what grip I had on the gun. I even tried 3 different extractors on the gun. It only did this to me, and no one else. But I could pick up any other 1911 and shoot it just fine. I think the gun really hated me for getting the parkarized finish removed and having Springfield Armor Coat it.

Worst gun?

45 caliber Taurus 24/7. Jam-o-matic. Loved the feel in my hand (similar to the XD), but couldn't shoot it. Sent it to Taurus. Came back the same. Turned out the mags had a problem. One mag was modified by a friend, and it worked perfectly--for anyone but me. I couldn't hold the gun well enough to keep it from jamming.

The XD 45 is very similar, and yet--no trouble. Go figure.

I sold that SOB for $200. With full disclosure. The guy I sold it to knew how to fix the mag problem, so he was fine with it.

I'll have to go with one my dad owned (since I like all of mine). He had a Winchester Model 94 carbine chambered in .44 Magnum. That thing was a mule. I wouldn't ever shoot more than 5 shots out of it and I was done for the day. It looked awesome (classic lever-action carbine), but it was a bear to shoot.

Without a doubt, the worst gun I ever bought (for my wife, with the best of intentions) was a Smith & Wesson licensed Walther PPK. It was such a pretty gun - stainless, good grips, it just felt really good for a small gun like that. We were very excited to bring home that new member of the family. Then we took it to the range...and that is where the fun stopped....
I realize there is always that 200 round "break in" period. But this thing malfunctioned in every way you could think of. It had feeding issues, extraction issues, and the clip dropped out several times. At first I thought it was my wife, so I tried it and all those things happened to me as well.
We went home, cleaned the gun, and traded it in on my 1911. Which, btw, has never had any of those break in issues. Still feeding and shooting 100% reliable.

The worst gun I ever owned was a IMI Baby eagle sub compact .40. My wife liked it because it fit her hand well, but it would jam almost half of the rounds out of a mag. I sent it back to magnum research and got it back without any more problems, but i still had a bad taste in my mouth. I sold it and got her an xd45c. soon after, I bought one for myself .

My worst had to be the Glock 21 I had a few years ago.Back then Springfield didnt offer the XD in 45acp so I bought the G21.I bought it NIB and it would jam up on me at least once per mag.Fail to eject AND fail to feed, all with ball ammo. Not Glock bashing at all,Id still like to get a G19 someday but that 21 was a lemon.
