Somebody stop me, hi point 9mm carbine?

So I’m thinking about buying one, I keep searching the net hoping to find horrible reviews. But I haven’t. Everyone that says they own one, also says they’re happy with it.

Yeah all the reviews on them are good-great. I bought one a while back and it was a great, fun carbine. I had a few thousand rounds through it and maybe had 1 or 2 problems, probably lack of clleaning it, i abused it quite often. But sold it a few months ago, for almost what i payed for it, to fund another project.

The thing about Hi-Point is that everyone hates the pistols, and some love the rifles. Although some hate the rifles just because the pistols aren't to par with other pistols.

If i found one at a good deal, and had the money, i'd buy it.

Blake

I'd rather have a Kel Tec Sub 2000 folding rifle that takes Glock or Beretta mags.

We had two back when I was in jr high and then my dad sold both of them. Fired thousands of rounds though both and never had a problem with them. I just recently bought another one and will probably not get rid of it anytime soon.

miss mine, had one when they first came out and abused the hell out of its ugly arse, but it never failed, two years later sold it to a buddy for what I bought it for new, he still has it and has not been any easier on it than I have. my only complaint is that as a post ban rifle, I could never get anything bigger than a 10 round magazine

I just got to handle one in the gun store last weekend, it seems nice enough and the sights are nearly perfect, most guns have the rings too small or too large, this gun has them perfectly sized very easy to "concentricize" them. I didn't like the Kel-Tech felt cheap and toylike but I have heard some good things about them.

I'm waiting for the hi-point 45 carbine to come out. I heard someone semi- reliable tell me mid-2008.

I'd buy one if I had nothing else I had to have. It looks like a good little gun... great for a truck or trunk.

Check gunbroker. I just saw an auction for 2 15 rd. mags for the hi-point 9mm carbine.

It looks like a ton of fun and, if it's reliable, would be a great backup long gun.

my $.02
