I really like this glock! Its certainly not an xd but, I seem to have a better grip on it. I've shot both and seem to be more consistant with it, plus its a little smaller than the Xd. I played around with carrying in different positions and it barely prints at all, even with jeans and an un-tucked tshirt.
Ill be the first to admit im a brand whore. I have 4 fender strats, two teles and 5 ibamez guitars. Its a sickness really. But when it comes to personal protection, throw that crap ouut the window. What fits your needs and what you are confident in carrying exceeds any brand loyalty that may exsist.

Go to the range and shoot the XD and then tell us which you prefer.

You are all fat jerks! Screw your mothers and damn your dogs!

Just kidding

So if I get a XD 40 Tactical can I be forgiven? I mean two XD's cancel out one little tiny Glock right?

There is nothing wrong with owning the Glock.
They are great reliable guns.
And yes it is a bit smaller than the XD9sc.

You guys slamming him for buying/owning/carrying it are starting to sound like the Glocktalk militia.........
Most of them slam any weapon that isn't Gaston's work.
Lighten up Peeps.

Whatever firearm works for you is fine with me Brother.............

Not slamming the Glock but in 9mm at least, the XDSC is the best XD I've shot so far. My XD9SC just seems to be more than the sum of its parts. I'm amazed at how accurate you can be with such a short gun. It's just a fantastic carry weapon but fun to shoot at targets too.

I won't argue that Reeek.

I'm much happier with my XD9sc than the Glock.
But the G26 never failed me.

I just need to figure out which trigger upgrade I want to get that slack out of the XD trigger..
The only negative thing about the XD for me.
I can live with the trigger but I sure would like to shorten up a bit.....

I have and like them both the same. To me its like comparing a trans-am to z28. With the glock, I like the size and control over recoil. I like the front strap the sights and that sweet trigger. I don't like the shortness of the handle. I also don't like the lack of a firing pin indicator. And the recoil spring is ugly! I also don't like the plastic coverd mags.
With the xd, I like the overall fit and finish. Stainless mags, metal trigger so on and so forth. I don't like how heavy it is, the grip saftey is pointless imo, and that black finish seems to scratch easily.
I can shoot both of them the same. 1.5 inch groups at 15 yards. At 25yards it opens up a bit. Basically id be happy with both, but saved some money with the Glock. I had put down almost $600 for the xd.

Get a pinky extension for your G26 mags.
It won't hinder concealment that much.
I will improve your shot placement having a full grip on the pistol.

MidwayUSA - Pearce Grip Extension Glock 26, 27, 33

MidwayUSA - Scherer Grip Extension All Glock except 45 ACP and 10mm Auto Polymer Black Package of 2

I like the Pearce better.
Its a little smaller than the Scherer.
