Anyone have the new .327 Federal magnum

Anyone here have the new .327 Federal magnum? I've been reading about it and would like to hear a first hand assessment.

I work for ruger and have shot the new sp in 327 a few times and its a really cool round. Accurate and in a small frame revolver gives you 6 shots instead of 5. Im not sure if anyone else is offering a chambering in this round but i liked it. Lots of concussion when you touch it off.

One of the NRA mags had a nice write up in it about the .327 magnum & the Ruger SP101 that is chambered for it.

I read a little of that right up and it was very good. Didn't get a chance to read the whole thing though

I first read about the .327 in NRA's American Rifleman and I've been reading about it online for the last couple days.

I'm interested because I've often heard revolvers recommended for people who are looking for a simple, easy to use handgun. My wife just received her CCW and is taking lessons from a NRA certified instructor. This seems like it might be a good self-defense gun for her when the time comes to move up from the .22 target pistol she's learning on.

The nice thing about this gun is that it can safely fire all of the .32 handgun rounds including .32 S&W, .32 S&W Long, .32 H&R Magnum, and now .327 Federal Magnum. I can't imagine that .32 S&W would break the bank as a practice round.

Anyway, I'd love to hear more from folks that have shot it.
