Tommysgunpack.com Beware

Here is my experience with this company:

1: I placed an order on 3/8/08

2: Over the next 10 days, I asked 3 times if the order would ship.

3: I received no reply until the day the order shipped, 10 days later. The order arrived 16 days after the order was placed.

4: When the order arrived, it was not complete. The packing was in perfect condition, it did not loose any of the content as best I could tell, if it did, it happened before it arrived at my home and was perfectly repacked again.

5: I sent an e-mail to the company asking if they would finish the order. Here is the reply I got from them:

"Phil I just checked your order. You did order two, and that is exactly
what I sent you. I pack all of my orders myself. I have a check-off system that I go by so this sort of thing dose not happen. I then weigh each package to make sure everything is in the package. I do not know what happen to the other insert, but when it left here it was in there.
Please check your package again. Thanks, Pat@tommysgunpack.com"

6: I considered the reply rude and again asked if he would ship the remainder of the order and told him I felt he was rude.

7: I also informed him that if he could not fill the order, I would return it for a refund.

8: His reply to me is as follows:

"We don't give refunds. Thanks again, God Bless, and still have a great
evening, Pat@tommysgunpack.com"

9: In a subsequent phone call, Pat told me he never makes mistakes in packing orders, he stated "I never make mistakes," and that someone at my home most have removed the item. He used the term liar in regard to my claim that the order was incomplete.

10: In looking at his site trying to check my order details, I found I had been removed from his store order status log.

11: His return policy states "Please see our Terms & Conditions for complete details regarding our return policy."

12: The Terms and Conditions page says nothing about refund policies. That of course is my mistake for not reading more before ordering.

13: The Terms and Conditions pages also states "This site and the materials and products on this site are provided "as is" and without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied" Again, my mistake in making an assumption.

14: During the phone conversation, I was told that he has so much business that he does not need my business and that I can't hurt him. This may be true, but at least I can warn my fellow gun owners.

Wish I had the perfection of Pat!

Sorry to hear that. I consider myself warned.

Did you pay with a credit card?

That's the ONLY reason I use my credit card for everything.

Just protest the charges with the bank. It is easy. Call the toll-free number on the back of your card, explain to them that charge is a fraud since only 50% of the order was sent and that there is a communication breakdown between yourself and the seller. Tell them you are willing to pay for the item that was shipped, but not the other item.

See what he does. After they get on him, I am sure he would have much rather dealt with you

It works, I have done it. I have had legitimate reasons too, similar to yours. (i.e. order one item and receive a much cheaper one -- or used when you bought new). Just don't abuse this privilege, they won't allow you to keep doing it.

Also, you should be more careful. Not all companies are honest. "If it's too good to be true, it probably is." I don't want to say to stay away from small companies, because many of them (including the sponsors here!) are amazing to deal with. Just know their policies.

Best of luck to you. Give 'em hell!

Well fortunately for me, it was only about a $7.00 item on a $100.00 order (I can't tell now, my order has been erased)

Sad for him, it was only a $7.00 item. He does now state he shipped the item tonight, but still said I was...I think a said a cheat...but that was only after he called me several names and told me how good business was. I will keep the stuff and just warn others.

Call the BBB (Better Business Bureau) and report him. He might start jumping through hoops for you after that.

most people will help you BEFORE your a pain in the ass and they are the good companies
then there is the others that you need to jam a pine cone up their ****** before they do anything. and having a credit card company's fraud department breathing down you neck i think would be a very similar experience to the pine cone

Do you work hard for your money? I am guessing you do as most of the people are this site are good, honest, hard-working people. Don't take this crap as it doesn't matter if its $7 or $100. That is your money. Report him to the BBB, it doesn't cost you anything and you may save someone else from losing a whole lot more money.
