It is true that the slide rides on poly. I just bought a CW9 because my XD9 service is just too heavy to carry every day in my opinion. I did the grip chop so it conceals well, but is thick and heavy. The Kahr is not a range gun though. I have read that it is a 6,000 rd gun. So once or twice a month to the range just to keep the feel of it and it will last a long time. The guy at my range said the rental they have has 15,000 rds through it and it still fires fine. I will use it for my every day carry because it is very easy to carry. about half the wt. and thin. But I will carry my XD sometimes just because I love it so much.

This is true the polymer frame Kahr's slides don't ride on polymer this is a common myth.

Read the previous post, the polymer Kahr's do NOT ride on the polymer frame. The frame has steel inserts that the slide rides on.
