Is this one any different than the other Mini-14s? I've heard they arent all that great. After extended shooting periods they lose accuracy and arent as good as an AR. I read this article when I wanted to get a Mini:

It doesn't look like any mini 14's that i handle before, it has a heavy barrel and that harmonic damper thingy..its called mini 14 target..

the barrel weight needs to be tightened after extended shooting periods but they are very accurate (I work at ruger). It is a great target/varmit gun
