Any suggestions on what handgun to buy next?
I've got about $500 - $600 to spend, don't need another XD. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Alot of people will say sigs, nice guns! I was in a similar situation and considered an HK p2000 or uspc. They can be found in and close to that range. I prefer the p2000 with LEM trigger and softer recoil system. I decided to buy another XD though!

what caliber is your xd? i would wait. unless you are simply looking for popular choices that are widely regarded as no loose situation guns. I would take some time and not buy $600 worth of anything on a whim. Take the suggestions you get from this thread, go check out the guns in person, and rent the ones you like (hopefully your local gun shops do that) and get some range time with the top contenders in your list. Then mull it over a few weeks and git'r done. I would recomend a springfield 1911, or any number of sig models. Need the above questions answered though, and i am far from the resident expert. |

I currently have the following, all in 9mm:
XDSC Kahr P9 Sig P250 CZ 75 Compact and: Charter Arms Bulldog .44 Special Browning Buck Mark. I've got a Sig P6 on order with AIMSurplus also. I'm in no rush, and have a few ideas of my own (1911 variant, SP101) - so was really just looking for suggestions that might make me say 'Hey, that would be neat to have'. Thanks! |

I also have a sig p6 on order, from centerfire, should be here in less than 2 weeks. for spice of life reason i would go for .45 acp or get a small pocket gun like a sig p232, bersa 380, walther pp/ppk something like that. Last edited by billbrasky : 02-27-2008 at 02:31 PM. |

How about an STI Spartan? Its as close to a custom gun you can get for the money. Its all hand fitted, fiber front sight, adjustable LPI rear site, one piece solid guiderod, front cocking serrations. I REALLY love mine and its as accurate as you will find in a factory gun! I changed my grips, added a magwell, and grit on the front strap.

Personally you definitely need a 1911. Now the tricky part is do you stick with 9mm since thats what you have and ammo is cheaper or do you go with a TRUE 1911 and go .45.
