Rem870 Magazine Tube Feed Problem
My Rem870 has the stock Remington extended magazine tube (+3) but no matter how I take it apart and rebuild it, I can only get five 2 3/4" shells in it.
My follower is a Scattergun Tech Hi-Viz but that shouldn't make a difference. Am I reassembling it wrong? Tried everything, grrrr. Thanks. -P

hell i gotta 870 and i lost that little piece that goes in the end of the magazine tub and holds the spring, take that out and the plug and i can hold five 3" shells in the magazine and one in the pipe, who needs and extension?
i would say something is wrong though if you are not able to put the same number of shells back in?

i lied i can only hold four in the magazine. nevertheless, five rounds of 3" magnum shells is decent fire power.

ive got an 870 express, and the max ive ever even tried to put in was 4 in the line, and 1 in the chamber. anything past that, and it would seem to jam every now and then.
and what are you shooting at that you need a total of 6 shots from a 12 ga to kill? seems to me, if you cant do it in 3 or 4, max, you dont need to be shooing much of anything...
