I just bought the super nova. Not that cheap, but not too bad either. I intend to try it out this weekend. (no, not on turkeys yet)
Benelli - Firearms - SuperNova

I think a lot of the so-called required equipment for turkey now exists solely to sell more crap. An extra full or turkey choke turns any shotgun into a turkey gun. I shot one last year at about 40 yards with my 24" Benelli M2, it looked like I stomped on it.

I found an 870 on gun broker for 160.00 and bought a rifle sighted smoothbore that has remchokes on ebay for 80.00. I could have sold the ventrib barrel that it came with for 80.00.
Keep your eyes open, the deals are out there.

Every place I looked at for Benelli says they are out of stock. Would be nice but don't want to spend that much anyway.
Itchy, I'm keeping an eye out on Gunbroker... Bigun, I may look into that.. I have till end of April for the season... jnclement, I kinda agree with ya... the only shotguns I own are a single shot rifled for deer and the Mossy500 8shot which is suited more for home defense. Neither are really options for turkey. Homer, those look real nice.... always wanted an over/under...

I don't know if they even still make them, but I have a Winchester 1300 turkey. Shorter barrel, great choke, light, and Advanced Technology makes a killer adjustable pistol grip stock that I just added yesterday.
