bersa thunder in .380 ACP: opinions? owners?

A buddy of mine over on OCDO is thinking about getting a bersa thunder in .380 ACP. This will be sort of a "temporary" gun until he can get his Glock (yeah, I know...). The price sits well w/ his wallet....

... but how is the quality? Is it a good shooter? Does it "feel" good?

Any opinions on this gun would be appreciated. Thank you!

Bersa

It is one of the best 380's out there. For the money, it is the BEST one out there. The one I have has been flawless. For more info, there are great guys at :: Bersa Talk ::

wow! Thanks for the fast response!

I know about Bersatalk.... but I was going for some less-biased opinions.... sort of like not going to XDtalk for opinions on the XD... LOL...

How does it shoot? What kind of accuracy/distance can one expect?

Dave, I shot one not too long ago and they shoot very well. I was pleased. So they get a big +1....price is SWEET too!Accuracy is fair. I was shooting decent groups the first time I picked the gun up. Great for what it was meant to do.

shoots awesome. Very accurate, but it should be. The barrel is fixed, so it is either gonna be accurate from the factory or way off! Feels the best in my hands of any guns that I have. Of course the finish on them is not gonna be as good as 500 dollar guns, but hey, it is a great little gun. Got to give up a few things to have a gun with their quality for the price. BEST buy for the money.

I have the CC version of the .380 and I find that it shoots well to about 15 yards. If you have big hands then you would want to spend about $50.00 to change out the grips. Stock grips are OK at best. There's another thread floating around XDT with grip info for this model.

Great gun for the $ and very reliable in about 500 rounds. No issues at all.

I'm very pleased with mine and the accuracy is fine for such a short barreled gun.

Bersa 380 Thunder Grips

Love my little Thunder CC. Perfect for pocket carry. No worse than having a cell phone in your pocket. The sights are rudimentary at best, but it's not meant for long range shooting. Very reliable and very accurate.
