Knoxx Special Ops Stock
Hi all,
I recently purchased a Knoxx Special Ops Stock for my 870 Remington Magnum Shottie. It went on without a hitch even though the instructions are somewhat crude. With that in mind Can anyone tell me the direction it opens? Rather it's on a hinge and opens outward, up toward you, or does it slide out like a desk drawer? It's just new and stiff, so I don't want to apply too much force in the wrong way. It's a SWEET stock and my customization project is nearly complete. I'll have pics up shortly. Thanks in Advance!

Are you sure there is a compartment in the grip? I had a Spec Ops on my 870 as well. The grip is suppose to house the recoil reducing spring if memory serves me.
I don't recall the grip being large enough to store 12ga shells, but that's just my opinion. |

I may be wrong since I don't own either of the following BUT....If I remember correctly, isn't there a addon cheek rest for the SpecOps stock, and in this cheek rest is the compartment for what you mention? Not the specOps stock itself, but the addon cheek rest has the compartment if i'm remembering right. It's called the superpack or something like that.
edit: Ok I did a search, It's called the PowerPack. It's an addon for the stock itself. Here is a picture: ![]() The horizontal tube looking thing has a cap that screws off and you can put stuff in it. You can pick them up for around 40 bucks on GunBroker. Cheers.

Yeah, I upgraded with the PowerPack through Midway, the high cheek rest and storage compartment of the CR123 3v batteries is a really nice touch.
I'm guessing Aubie is right about the spring being in the grip. Now that I think of the schematics, the grip does contain part of the spring mechanics. The grip does open to expose this, but I'm definitely not going to open it. I did get it sandblasted tonight and the barrel and mag tube coated in Moly Resin. I should have it complete by the end of the weekend Quote:

![]() Schematics of just the Knoxx stock. The plate you were asking about is probably the spring housing cover. I will eventually pick up the Knoxx stock myself, I have a topfolder and it is BRUTAL on my shoulder |

I have this stock on my slug-gun and it it badass. The recoil is nothing with this stock installed. A great product and worth the price.
As stated, that cover is not a compartment. Os

Looking good, MK9NK. Just got my SpecOps two weeks ago. I need to get it out to the range. I do like the PowerPack. Then again, I like this too.

I dunno, something I had lying around. I switched my light to a Surefire E2D today. It's slimmer and i like the click on tail cap better.
