10 rd mags for sig p225
I found this on midway, is this a type-o ? It doesn't appear to be anything like my extension clip on my xd 45 compact. Are there both 8 and 10 round clips for the p225 or is this a mistake.
I want to order some if they fit flush to the base of the grip. http://www.midwayusa.com/eproductpag...445&t=11082005 |

Every P225 mag I have ever seen was 8 rounds.
Beware aftermarket mags in SIG pistols....bad ju-ju! Stick to the factory SIG mags and you'll be fine. The P225 is a pretty accurate beast...8 rounds is plenty. - Brickboy240

Midway has great prices. Top Gun Supply (a sponsor here...or they used to be) also carries SIG mags at very good prices.
Local gunstores can be VERY proud of their SIG factory magazines, so be careful. - Brickboy240

Ok guys I would prefer reliability over total volume every time.
So Ed and brick boy that wasn’t a typo? In theory in the future I could find a high quality 10 rd mag? The sig p225 really can take 10 rounds albeit in a less than great aftermarket mag? I understand preference for sig original mags, I have also read mec-gar makes good mags, and they are original equipment for US made sigs. How do you guys feel about the mec-gar products? Ill just buy sig originals if that’s what you guys recommend, I would be happy/secure with about 5 total mags. I have 2 coming with the ordered surplus p225. |

I have always found MecGar OEM mags to be good quality. I have them on my HI Power, my CZ, SIG and some 1911's.
I have not found Pro Mags to be any good. |

MecGar builds a first class product.
In fact, they build for SIG. The only reason that I downed the ProMag is from first hand experience with the non-OEMs. Try CDNN for OEMs. By the way, one of our forum sponsors sells magazines. Not a complete, total everything, but a goodly supply to choose from. Ed |
