Glock 22
I am considering buying a new Glock 22 for $428.95 (plus tax) from a place called CopStop. (This $428.95 price is for military, ex-military and LEOs and includes 3 15-rd. magazines versus 2 15-rd. magazines in the civilian package). I would appreciate any comments from Glock owners on the price I'm looking to pay, as well as the performance of the pistol.
Thanks in advance.

Sounds like a decent enough price to me, A little trigger work and she will be good to go.

I have owned a 2nd generation Glock 22 since 1994. Never had a moments trouble out of the thing. Absolutely the most reliable and trouble-free pistol I have ever owned. I own about a dozen pistols, from Colts to SIGs, a Beretta and others but the Glock 22 sits in my truck conslole everyday and the others stay in the safe. Got to go with whats most reliable.
I really like the Glock 22. you have 40SW power and 9mm capacity in a package that is the size of most service 9mms. I regularly see used G22s selling for around 425 and up..sometimes cheaper. Summit Gun Broker has factory used Glock 22s for about 360 bucks...they come with 3 mags and a factory warranty. Thats the best G22 deal I have ever seen. - brickboy240

I bought a used G22 from a fellow employee and my youngest son bought a brand new one at a gun show, can't say much about the price but the G22 is quite a pistol. !5 rounds .40 + good accuracy + great reliablilty = a great buy.

I don't own a Glock...but I have been shopping around for one. Southern Ohio Gun has used Glock 22 for $339.95 listed in very good condition with 1 - 15 rd magazine. Obviously you need to consider the other factors...shipping, FFL transfer, and difference in magazines. But I figured that I'd mention the SOG deal since it's the best price that I've seen yet.
BTW - if you visit their website, you won't be able to see their prices unless you hold an FFL license and get their login credentials. I've got a C&R license so I get to see their prices, which is where I got the figure that I gave you. |

CDNN has M&P40s listed for 399. Add 10 bucks shipping, 20 bucks FFL fee, you've got around the same deal.
They also have Very Good to Excellent, rebuilt G22s (with night sights and 1-15 rounder) for 339. Those are usually guns that are as good as factory new. |

No, I don't shoot competition...for the same reason I don't reload...I don't have time for it. Looks like big fun, though. To be honest, if I was ever to shoot a competitive shooting sport, it wold probably be Cowboy Action Shooting. My cousin is heavily involved in a club and I have been to a couple of matches and CAS is bigtime fun and not as "serious" as the other disciplines. The CAS guys are more about having fun..not so concentrated on numbers and scores.
I'd check out Summit's Glock 22 deal - you get a factory warranted Glock 22 with 3 new 15rd mags and a case for 339 bucks. I bought my old Glock 17 as a factory used gun and it was perfect. It had a little outside wear but the springs had all been replaced and it ran perfect. Never needed the Glock factory warranty...but it was there. Ordering the 339 dollar G22 from Summit, paying shipping charges and a 25 dolar dealer transfer is TONS cheaper than buying a G22 used from a local shop. The local deals probably don't come with 3 mags and a warranty, either. I replaced th 5.5 pound stock trigger in my G22 with a Ghost 3.5 pound trigger and smoothed the internals. Made a WORLD of difference. I am also goign to have a local Glock guru do the grip reduction for 100 bucks that will give the G22 a 1911-ish grip angle. Then, my G22 will be perfect! People around here love to poo poo the Glock, but when it starts hitting the fan..I am grabbing the Glock 22 and the Colts and other range queens are staying in the safe! I want what works...every time. - Brickboy240
