Which .22 to choose?

After reading the responses in my thread about the .22 for practice, I thought I'd seek some advice about particular models.

I truly don't understand what makes some of these models better than the next. Visually, I like this one the best:

Ruger Mark III 22LR 5 1/2" Barrell $383.00

Then there is the Ruger 22/45 Mark III LR4" with adjustable sights that is about $90 cheaper. $246.00

And Bud's has several more. I carry a XD9SC so I figured I'd get something with a similar sized barrel since it would be primarily for practice.

Any suggestions on a particular model? Any input on the two that I featured in this post?

Thanks in advance.

The 22/45. It has virtually the same grip angle as your XD.

The 22/45 have a better grip angle. Also they are polymer framed. The MK III is a steel frame.

The 22/45 does limit you a bit in that there are no after market grips that I have been able to find.

Is the Walther P22 out for any particular reason?

Both have adjustable sights. One is also stainless so you're paying more for that. There is a write-up where you can use 1911 grips on the 22/45. It involves some work, but looks much better than the stock look.

No. Just that a lot of members seem to favor the Ruger. I actually shot my brother-in-laws P22 today and it was a lot of fun. Felt like I was shooting a BB gun.

Any info you can pass along about this weapon?

I have one, it was the closest I could get to a "service" pistol for cheap practice. A lot smaller than it looks but still lots of fun and accurate as hell.

I like my Beretta Neos, although some people may not like the look of it. I paid $249.00.
